Assignment 2: Kinetic Typography.

For our last assignment. We had to work as a team to do a short video of 'Kinetic Typography'.
The following pictures below shows the steps and process of making the video.

We used Large Fonts for the typography so that it

is easy to read the text in the video.

We used effects such as 'blur' effect on some of the typography.

The 'blur' effect and classic tween are mostly used throughout 

the video.

Some of the text are vertical so that it can create an interesting

impact to the video.

The text is faded and replaced by another text.

Some text in the video are in 'Bold' so that it gives a better impact

to the video.

The last text are faded away using effects in the Classic tween.

Below is the the link to the video of the Kinetic typography that we made.
We could not upload it directly to the blog as the file was too big, so we
uploaded it into Youtube and embed it into the blog.

Computer Graphics 3: Assignment 1

I have made the Flash video of a Patriotic poster using my own fresh ideas.
I used Adobe Illustrator CS5, Abobe Photoshop CS5,
and also Adobe Flash CS5 in this assignment.
Below is the steps i made to complete this assignment.


How To Make The Flag.

To make the 'Malaysian Flag' that is mainly used in the video,

I used Adobe Photoshop Cs5 to add an effect to it.

 Then, I converted the 'Malaysian Flag' Image into

Adobe Illustrator Cs5 and made a clipping mask 

around the flag so that i can easily convert it into

Flash later.

How To Make The 'Malaysia Hand Pointer Icon'

To make the hand arrow icon that I used in the video,

I made a copy of the 'Malaysian Flag' and placed it

under a normal hand pointer. I used 

Adobe Photoshop Cs5.

After that, i made a masking layer on the surface of the

hand pointer icon so that i can select the image that i only want.

 

After Selecting the image, Only the selected part that i want will appear.

The 'Malaysia Hand Pointer Icon' is complete!

The 'One Malaysia Logo' and My 'One Malaysia Poster'

I added some effects to the 'One Malaysia Logo' that i used in my video.

I Made this using Adobe Photoshop Cs5.

I also made my 'One Malaysia Poster' using my own ideas

in Adobe Photoshop Cs5.

Steps and processes in making Assignment 1

At first, i made the Malaysian Flag look like a button.

The Hand pointer goes towards the flag and clicks it.

 Step 1

Step 3

Then The Flag will move to the center of the page.

I wrote a text using typography.

The text slides to the left and out of the screen.

 

 Anothe text appears.

The text says 'No Matter What We Do'

 

The text slides to the left side of the screen and disappears. 

 

 The Flag then shrinks in size

The Flag then moves to the upper left corner.

Then, another text appears. 

The 'One Malaysia' logo that i edited earlier appears from the top.

 

The Logo then enlargers in size.

Another text appears at the bottom of the logo.

The whole text completes.

Another text which says 'click here for poster' appears.

The hand pointer that i used earlier appears from the bottom.

The hand pointer moves to the text and clicks it.

A small image of the poster appears.

 

The Whole 'One Malaysia Poster' appears and completes my video.

These are the steps that i made to complete my first assignment.
Although i was new to flash, i found out that it is very interesting
and unique. I enjoy learning the basics and i have gained
quite a lot of experience thanks to my Lecturers.

Assignment 1 poster illustration

I made my first illustration of my first Patriotism poster.

the images below is how i made it using Adobe Flash CS5.

 At first, i inserted a picture of the 'Tugu Negara'.

The image then goes to the centre and enlarges.

A typography labelled Patriotism appears from the left

 and replaces the picture.

The typography then shrinks in size and rotates

 360 degrees.

It is then replaced by a picture of the Malaysian Flag

 and the first prime minister.

The picture enlarges in size.

 I used typography again to write the word

'MERDEKA' three times.

 

The flag image dissapears and the 'One Malaysia'

logo appears from the top to the bottom.

The 'One Malaysia' logo then appears fully.

It was my first experience using flash and i was quite excited to found out that it is quite interesting to use.

Because i was inexperienced, i used one frame at a time to do this assignment because I didn't fully

understand the use of Adobe Flash as it was my first time.
